![]() ![]() Fragrance is a luxury product that most brands mark up from around 20% to 90%! The ingredients and the packaging are the least expensive part, while the marketing is where most of the expense lies in perfume. Why should you consider buying perfume from Dossier? Dossier makes high-quality perfumes at affordable prices for everyone. This post is sponsored by Dossier, but the love is genuine. ![]() I’m excited to be sharing this Dossier perfume with you. I favor sexy gourmands or warm and spicy scents and am not fond of robust flowery scents. If you’re unfamiliar with Dossier, they bring you cruelty-free premium fragrances at an affordable price. It’s got a touch more caramel than the By the Fireplace, so it’s great for summer outings though it’s robust enough to stand up to winter, too.Hello, beautiful creatures I’m sharing my Dossier Ambery Cherry review today. It’s got a smoky and sweet thing happening, and that combo is a favorite of mine, so I’d go for this scent more often than not. I get a little more of the citrus shining through, though I can also pick up the softness of the vanilla and the richness of the vetiver. Sean’s review: On Rashna, the coffee is more pronounced, and it hews muskier than it does on me. It’s got a desert quality it’s sweet, but not overly so. On you, it smells like something I want to nuzzle up all day. It’s elegant, mature, and complex it’s something I’d wear to meet your family. It has a strong enough scent that it lasts all day and wears into something more subtle, albeit still decadent, as the hours pass. I find myself sniffing my wrist a lot during the day, and then wanting a latte. On myself, I really get a strong caramel undertone and that’s delicious. Rashna’s review: “It’s rich and deep and I’m here for that. I’ll indeed wear it on opposite days or occasions from By the Fireplace. There’s a hint of musk which allows it from veering too far into feminine territory. It’s very clean smelling, but it doesn’t fall victim to employing overwhelming citrus notes to get your nose there. On me, the scent starts strong with baby powder and soap and wears well, with the powder fading and leaving the soap. I’m slotting it in third place only because I’m drawn to richer, more complicated fragrances more than clean ones, but I do love a clean scent and this delivers. It’s a great alternative to-and opposite from-By the Fireplace.” I’d wear it when getting dressed up for a summer soiree. It’s refreshing so it’d be great for summer, but it could also work as a transitional scent in the spring or even fall. It comes on stronger on me than you and I get the soap and cleanliness aroma the most. Rashna’s review: “Ah, this is light and airy really easy on the nose. I’m bummed that Rashna’s claiming this one, but maybe if we rotate days, I can also wear it. ![]() I’m also reminded of patinated leather interiors of a classic car, which brings a smile to my face. I’m a cocktail guy and I get a pop of rum in every waft, as Maison Margiela intended. (Credit, in part, the styrax for some of the leathery, balsamic aromas.) And I love it. Sean’s review: This is very similar to By the Fireplace, with rich, woodsy, and smoky undercurrents. It’s definitely a masculine scent, but the more feminine notes of vanilla and orange rise over time so it’s one I love.” It’s very clean, though I’d say it skews older. I grew up in England and one whiff of this takes me back to a British pub. Rashna’s review: “I feel like I’m nestled in a tufted leather Chesterfield loveseat, listening to a jazz trumpeter riff. The melding results in an olfactory experience of an intimate cocktail lounge. Masculine - One of Maison Margiela’s most popular Replica scents, Jazz Club has base notes of Styrax, tobacco leaf, and vanilla, punctuated by top notes of lemon, pink pepper and Neroli (orange bitters).
